Boston trading Lester before Wednesday would be pretty awesome, but I feel like it's not going to happen.

Got to win games #1 and #2 as #3 seems unlikely :-?

Why? By Wednesday it's going to be Buehrle vs. Brandon Workman or whoever they call up after they trade Lester. :D

I'd rather they hold on to Lester, instead of getting an inevitable huge haul in a trade.

Yeah but we won't have to deal with those prospects for at LEAST another season, right? That's a problem for future-us to worry about.

They could very well at least skip him over in the rotation if they feel there is a shot at moving him. I hope they deal him for Kemp in principle, he is definitely on the decline and signed through almost the end of the decade on a deal to make Jose Reyes naysayers stop complaining.

I'd rather deal with a couple of Lester starts than the haul Cherington will get, and besides Lester seems one of those loyal i don't care about money guys, good chance he signs a relatively team friendly contract with the Red Sox anyways even if he gets traded.

Completely unnecessary and hypothetical overthinking here, but assuming the Orioles go 3-3 over their next 6 games (I believe to be a realistic outcome; 1-2 vs. Angels, 2-1 vs. Mariners), it would be amazing if the Jays could go 6-1 over these next 7 (incredibly challenging but possible, given the competition). This would put the Jays within .5 of the O's and give them a chance to take the division lead with a series win next week.

I know it's pointless to think this way because teams end up winning games they should lose and losing games they should win, but fun to think about nonetheless.

I still despise the Red Sox. Please win and further solidify their non-contender status in 2014.

If Lester is going to get moved (and it certainly looks like he will be), I hope it happens before Wednesday night. The Jays could use the help this week.

Any updates on Lawrie or Lind? There was hope Lind would be back for this series but haven't heard a peep since EE was shut down a couple of days ago.
