Fun fact (no jinx): Blue Jays are 4-0 when scoring 6 or more runs in a game

BLC is running the table this year.

Dickey has been awful the last two home openers... hopefully the third time is the charm.

Game 4 doesn't look good for us, but the other three are very winnable. Against the Rays I'd settle for 2 of 4.

More AL East frenzy. These are the games that help us the most, beating out our direct opponents early in the season.

Let's see some more magic for BLC against this Tampa rotation. We should be able to take care of Odorizzi with some Italian anti-perspirant (horrible joke, moving on). Don't like that pitching matchup on Thursday but hopefully we can walk away with some W's here.

In BLC we trust.

Wish I was going to the home opener. Going to be exciting.

roof will (obviously) be closed despite the forecast calling for some comfortable spring weather, so i'm a little worried with martin trying to catch the knuckler indoors. should be a fun night at the ballpark regardless. go blue birdies

A reminder, from years past: TBA generally ends up standing for Tampa Bay Ace, no matter how scrubby the individual taking the mound.

Taking 3 out of 4 in this series would be nice. Let's take advantage of the Rays before they get some of their injured pitchers back.

This is actually a huge series cuz a sweep and getting TB off to a shite start makes them one step closer to a complete rebuild and 1 less team to compete against us in the AL east

Archer against Sanchez is going to be tough to watch.

Agreed. We've gotta have a big series here. When they begin to get their pitchers healthy the Rays could be capable of stringing wins together. A healthy Rays rotation looks prettty damn good Archer, Cobb, Smyly, Moore, Odorizzi. I don't know when Cobb or Moore would be back, however, if they can stick around until then, they could make a bit of noise.

I don't remember a lot of TB TBA's to be honest. It seemed like every year their 5 would get 30+ starts without incident, other than Kazmir, leaving 1-3 top flight prospects waiting for a chance to break in.

I think it's going to be Everett Teaford, who was a Royals AAAA guy for 2-3 years a while back, but the Rays are crazy banged up already this year.

So how much of a disaster should we expect entering Rogers Centre with the heightened security measures in place?

It sounds like a real mess to get 40k or so plus in with these measures. Not sure, it's my first Jays home opener I'm going to so we'll see.
