Saunders was rushed into 2015?

He had a pretty serious injury. Required surgery. Could have been eased into a role in the minors. Would have made it back to 100% by the all-star break.

yet due to his own insecurity about losing his role on the team and inpart due to the Team decision, he did not have the surgery he required. Instead opting for a smaller procedure which got him back in the MLB by May.

2-3 games into his return.... oops :x

Now if he opts for surgery, it could keep him out until September at this rate. If he chooses to fight through it. Jays will have an already injury prone Outfielder, playing hurt.

Did the Jays and Michael Saunders rush things too early?

Everything about this is incorrect.

- Saunders' early return didn't owe to 'insecurity', it owed to the fact that they were forced to remove the meniscus rather than repairing it. Removal has a much shorter timetable for return because you aren't waiting for the meniscus to repair, because it's now in biohazard waste disposal somewhere.

And 'forced' is the key here...repair simply wasn't an option because it was too damaged. Consequently, there is no future surgery for Saunders to have, because it has already taken place.

Please put random musings in other threads. Not every idea need be a thread of its own.
