And Travis goes on the DL. Can't help but think that trying to play through the injury made it worse but not privy to his medical files so who knows for sure.

But the injury didn't help his batting that's for sure.

Gotta be a toss up, what with Kawasaki being recalled.

Travis being placed on the DL was predicable - Next JoeyBats when he plays the outfield for the first time since forever will tear his shoulder when he's forced to throw a runner out.

Not sure I get the Bautista point. Are you arguing that if he had sat out altogether instead of DHing, that he wouldn't tear his shoulder the first time he tries to throw someone out, and that he will strictly because he DH'd for a few weeks?

Lol what a lineup. Kawasaki isn't a terrible depth option to have tho, he''ll give you some good at bats

Kawasaki though!
Hernandez does have a bit of trouble at Rogers Centre compared to other parks.

Obviously Gibby doesn't trust the Kawasaki effect and is punting this one.

Or maybe he's pulling a Costanza! Let's see how the opposite of every decision works out.

I was in the house when Joey Bats hit #50 off King Felix 1st inning 12:37 start.

Was awesome. We won the game 1-0 as I recall.

Good times in the 6

He's played every game so far and I'm fairly certain Gibby thinks Estrada is not beating Felix Hernandez.

Times like this it would be nice to have the open DH.

Bautista always crushes Felix, so hopefully he has a big game tonight.

Damn umpire cost us a run. Bautista should have been on base with a walk.
