Fangraphs is predicting the Jays go 54-53 the rest of the way for a .506 win percentage. They have the Yankees winning the division with 86 wins.

So let's call it 86 wins to take the division, they need to go 61-46 (.570 win percentage) to get to 86 wins. 7 more wins then projected.

They need to go on a bit of a run and if the pitching continues to normalize and the bats produce its not unfathomable.
That's what she said.

Steve Cischek optioned to AAA, has been brutal this year. Perhaps fodder for the annual AA dumpster dive barbecue.

Since that ridiculous start he had, it seems like Jake Marisnick has fallen off a cliff.

Is Stroman one month away from being two months away?

Gotta add pitching to really compete this year, soriano is a good start, at least he's got experience n done it before...but knowing us we'll let him slip away like tons of other options last winter

The lineup looks so much better with Bautista back in RF.

Carrera should really be playing over Colabelo so that all 3 outfield spots can be filled by actual outfielders again.

Ya but his bat is so good. Rather gave Edwin at first and bello at dh. Enjoy his wave and send him back down when he fizzles. Not a huge fan of smoak.

They're riding Colabello's superstar streak as long as they can. He's lost about 100 points of OPS in the last week (still a spectacular .925), and if that continues I expect we'll see Carrera soon enough.

Carrera has provided more value than Colabello by a pretty decent margin, and that's with Colabello hitting out of his mind. The organization's lack of awareness when it comes to defensive value is staggering considering their off-season acquisitions showed that they may have started valuing it. Gibbons should know better.
