Billy Boy, want to trade us Sonny Gray for an underwhelming return so he can bunk with his old buddy Donaldson ?

I wouldn't call Lawrie and Gravemen an underwhelming return.

Well, to be fair, with us Lawrie would have continued to play half seasons, and Graveman probably would have turned into a pumpkin once Walker got a chance to stick his hooks into him.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Pompey in LF would make that lineup look so much better imo. Happy to see Smoak get another start.

It's disgusting that a guy like Carrera is batting ahead of Travis. Gibby doesn't realize that Travis is one of the best hitters in the lineup, and by putting him in the ninth spot, you're only giving Travis three at-bats per game...

Statistically, you're actually better off having your worst hitter eighth; it's crazy close (lineups make far less difference than people believe unless you're doing something nuts), but while I don't know how seventh vs ninth stacks up, I'm guessing he prefers Travis ninth because he's more likely to get on base for the top of the order.

Now, why we persist with Reyes and his .315 in the one hole beyond a fleeting hope that we can one day ditch his ass is another story.

Wonder what Lawrie's ovation is going to be like in comparison to that of what Donaldson just received.

Has a Canadian been booed playing in Toronto as an opponent before? lol

Butler better hustle to first, even with an injured Bautista. :)

Or just strikeout.

If that's going to be a strike all night, someone's getting ejected.

Even though it's all the Athletics players arguing, you know somehow that the someone will end up being John Gibbons for no apparent reason.

Josh Donaldson is an MVP canidate the last few years, players less than his caliber get more in return. Gravemen is pitching in a pitchers park, who knows how he would have pitched in the homerdome and the AL East. Lawrie has played well for half a season, franklin barreto is a prospect who can turn out to be a stud by still TBD.
