For example, Boyd was considered a pretty good and likely could have been a key piece in a trade this deadline. However, JAYS promoted him, he was exposed on the big stage, and now he is an after thought. Not saying thats it for him, but he wont get much trade interest any more.
Aaron Sanchez was a cant miss prospect as early as last season. Now he is not a key piece in any deal for what the Jays need this deadline. He's more of a sweetener... untill he proves himself in the MLB
There are many more examples... Osuna and Castro come to mind
If these guys stay in the minors and dominate, they could have pieces teams are drooling over. but now they are role players.
