The Yankees were in Toronto last weekend for a three-game set against the Blue Jays, which presented players with ample opportunity to enjoy the Toronto nightlife. Unfortunately for pitcher C.C. Sabathia, one night out almost ended in him getting caught up in a street brawl.

TMZ got its hands on video of the incident, which reportedly happened early Saturday morning outside of EFS Nightclub:

That guy keeping Sabathia away from the fight and shoving him into a car deserves a bonus of some sort. Every athlete’s entourage needs a guy like that.

Damn I live at that area and was walking back around 2.30 saw a bunch of cops. Thought it was just bunch of 20 something drunks getting into fights. didnt realize CC was there.

It just sucks that people can't go out and have fun if they're celebrities. I'm not proposing that CC was the good guy in this case since I don't know the context of the altercation, but I do tend to lean towards people being **** and douchey toward celebrities because they feel some sense of jealousy and entitlement as fans to be able to say anything to anyone and everyone who they can't relate to. It's a poor representation of the city, when these guys go elsewhere it just makes all of Toronto look bad, instead of judging those individuals on their own merit.

This stuff goes on everywhere, probably more so on average in other cities.

Toronto is actually known as a place that generally doesn't get all up in celebrities faces and just lets them be.
