Twins were in WC spot, Jays swept them away. Angels were in WC spot, Jays swept them away. Rangers just took over WC spot, you know the drill.

2/3 seems like a given to me. imo with the way the yankees have been pulling wins out of their asses I feel like a sweep is necessary for any type of cushion for the division lead.

A sweep is necessary? If the Jays can win 2 out of 3 the rest of the season they'll win the east by 3-4 games easy assuming the Yankees don't go nuts. 4 out of 7 is good for 92 wins over the course of a season which is almost a sure playoff spot in today's game. If you expect Jay sweeps on the road against teams playing well you're in for a lot of unnecessary disappointment.

Seems aggressive to be moving him straight from simulated games to Buffalo after such a long layoff. As long as they're looking out for his long-term health and fitness I'm fine with it.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

http://espn.go.com/mlb/powerrankings

This is actually hilarious.

Dodgers go 0-5 yet are still ahead of the Mets who went 4-1. LOL

And the Jays despite being on a 19-4 run and 1st in the East with sweeps of MIN,OAK and ANA are still below the Yankees who lost 3/4 to Clevleand

ESPN's obsession with the Dodgers and Yankees is just sad..

The video explains that the ranking was done before Sunday's games, when the Yanks were a half game up. But still ... the Yankee blurb detailing their injuries (while ignoring the overworked bullpen) doesn't give a lot of cause for optimism.

Ultimately, who give a F? When Hutch (and Stro) make it back up, we're taking this.

I know but it still doesn't make sense. Because the blurb says the Jays swept the Angels...which happened ON Sunday at around 6 pm. Also said the Yankees dropped 3/4 to the Indians...so I guess the blurbs are written after the rankings? How hard is it to change the placement of the teams?

Honestly it does't bother me as much as their overrating of the Dodgers. I get Greinke and Kershaw are great and probably the best 1/2 punch in the MLB but it doesn't change the fact that they went 0-5 this week..Putting them ahead of the Mets right now is crazy.
