ST: Orioles vs Blue Jays September 4th - 6th

Post#1 » by duppyy » Thu Sep 3, 2015 1:44 pm

Tomorrow vs Orioles 7:07 PM
Sat, Sep 5 vs Orioles 1:07 PM
Sun, Sep 6 vs Orioles 1:07 PM

Ubaldo Jimenez, RHP

Jimenez lost after allowing four runs on eight hits -- including a home run -- and three walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings against the Rangers on Saturday.

VS

Drew Hutchison, RHP

Hutchison made his return to the rotation and responded with seven strong innings vs. the Tigers. He's 5-1 with a 3.13 ERA in 10 career starts vs. the Orioles and he has a 2.46 ERA at home this season.

To Be Announced

VS

David Price, LHP

Price has allowed three runs or fewer in 24 of his last 27 outings. He's also thrown at least six innings in 13 consecutive outings and has 21 quality starts on the season.

Chris Tillman, RHP

The righty lasted just 4 2/3 innings and allowed seven earned runs in Tuesday's loss, the sixth consecutive one for Baltimore.

VS

The ageless left-hander tossed his team-best 18th quality start on Sunday, showing there's still some gas left in the tank. Buehrle has allowed two earned runs or fewer in 11 of his past 15 starts.

The return of TBA!

Heading out to the game Saturday. I got a good surprise yesterday with Price being moved up a day!

So is Jimenez going to dominate us for, what, like a fourth time this year?

Why can't the Baltimore Orioles use the internet? Because they can't get 3 W's in a row.

His domination of the Jays seems to be the only reason he's a major league SP any longer.

Showalter hilariously again decided to skip Chen this weekend against us. He had Tillman moved up to Sunday.

Bruno? LeafsRule? You guys know exactly what photoshop I have in mind. We're going bird hunting!

Showalter is still a clown for skipping Chen a second time this season. At least we get Tillman instead.

Great piece:

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/13567542/toronto-blue-jays-added-troy-tulowitzki-david-price-aura

• In the 32 games since Tulo's debut, they've gone 26-6. Yup, 26 wins and six losses. And how many times before that, in the history of their franchise, had they ever gone 26-6 over any 32-game stretch of any season? That would be never. Of course.

• They've scored a ridiculous 200 runs in those 32 games. That's the most in baseball. They allowed just 97 runs. That's the fewest in baseball. OK, that'll work.

• So if you're subtracting along at home, you know that translates to a plus-103 run differential. Plus-103. In basically a little over a month. By a team that has only had a plus-103 run differential for a whole season once since Joe Carter's fabled 1993 home run fell to earth. (That was in 2008, when the Jays went plus-104.) Crazy.

Lots more good stuff in the article. Make some tea and then sit down for a great read.

I hate these guys. They won't make the playoffs but there's not a team I hate more than the O's these past few years. Maybe not even the Yankees and Red Sox. Please win this series.

The Jays passed the Cubs and now have the 4th best record in baseball behind St. Louis, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh.

Isn't the TBA pitcher Miguel Gonzalez? Why do they have to be all secretive?

Ah, I thought it was just Showalter being gritty and not telling us who was pitching that day.

I saw David Prices first start for this team. Once I heard he will be starting Saturday in place of Buehrle I bought 4 more tickets to go to the game of stub hub. A bit above market value and then of course stub hub fees but not bad. Almost exactly the same seats as first game. Im psyched and super excited once again.

Just got back from Europe. Had my Jays cap on constantly, ran into so many Canadians and talked a lot of baseball. It was pretty incredible actually, really surprised at how that all played out. Thank god for the Mlb at Bat App.
