It feels good even if you're as old as the Jays, like I am.

Enjoy it my friend. I hope it ends for your generation how it ended for mine.

Notable baseball events since 1993. Not complete obviously, just from memory
Roy Halladay was drafted, traded, threw the second ever playoff no-hitter, and retired
The 94 strike
Bud Selig came and went
Moneyball and sabermetrics go mainstream
The Rays were added, sucked for years and made it to the World Series
The Diamondbacks were added and won maybe the best World Series ever in New York after 9/11 on Luis Gonzalez's hit
The Marlins were added in 94 and won two World Series
The Rockies were added the same year and went to a WS with Tulo in 2007
The Red Sox broke the curse of the Bambino, came back from 0-3 to the Yankees, and won two other WS
Maris' and Aaron's HR records were broken
The "steroid era" and the Mitchell Report
Interleague play and two wild cards were added
The ASG winner began to determine home field in the WS
Marge Schott
Derek Jeter came and went
The Expos were nearly contracted and then moved
Ichiro Mania and the Mariners 116 win season
Nomo, Dice-K, Tanaka, Darvish, etc.
World Baseball Classic
Retro ballparks sprang up everywhere after Camden Yards
Kerry Wood's 20 K game
Ripken broke Gehrig's record
Yankee Stadium came down
Steve Bartman
Miggy won the first Triple Crown since 67
Alomar spit on Hirschbeck
John McSherry died from a heart attack on the field on Opening Day
Jim Joyce blew the call on the final out of Armando Galarraga's perfect game
Several players died young - Adenhart, Taveras, Kile, Caminiti, Lidle in a plane crash into a New York building

Including the minors, LaTroy Hawkins pitched for a total of 20 different professional teams during that span.

Now, let's get the best record in the American League. Home field advantage would be huge for this team and for Toronto.

I can beat that.
I was seven the last time the Leafs won the cup. My parents did not let me stay up to watch hockey as games started at 8:00 back then. They figured there would be plenty more Leaf championships for me to watch. I have no memory of a Leafs Stanley Cup even though I was plenty old enough to have those memories.
