Pillar is going to run into Estrada in the 3rd inning knocking them both out. Fielder is going to swing wildly at a strike and will be awarded a walk anyway. And Stroman's arm will actually fall off his body.

Given that I'm going into this game expecting worse than the above to happen I'm sure everything will be ok.

All I can say is, let's see what happens here. Not much more you can really do here.

In the words of the Raptors' board, a win here would be huge.

I think if they just go 1 win they could get on another roll. A win in game 2 really could have kickstarted a win streak.

One game at a time, man, that's all it takes. I believe we're the better team, and while missing Cecil will hurt, we have a lot of good arms in the bullpen. Lots of mistakes early in game 2 (I expect it out of Bautista, but no excuse for Martin and Goins) came back to bite us, just gotta hope they play solid from here on out.

I don't mind mistakes as long as you can recover and keep playing through it. If the players try too hard to not make mistakes they are going to make more mistakes. Even with the mistakes early on we were in a position to win, but the run that Cecil gave up was the backbreaker, and the guys' approach at the plate after the Rangers tied it was quite bad. Everyone trying to be the next Joe Carter. Weren't we a good doubles team this year?

Jays won 2 games in Texas in late August when Texas was on fire, do it again and we're good. We have the clear pitching advantage in this game.

so reports are Cecil has a calf tear and is expected to be out for the remainder of the playoffs. How quick a great season changed so drastically.

I blame it on Taylor Swift and being a Toronto sports fan

Why is Taylor Swift so popular, anyway? She's so bland and safe. The type of pop star you bring home to show your mom and dad. Bleagh.

Nothing to lose now. Lets just play good baseball.

One time I wish the start time was earlier, the wait is going to be agonizing.

If Price showed better in Game 1 I'd agree. But they might want to see how Dickey responds to playoff pressure. It's unfortunate every game is an elimination game from here but sometimes you take a chance and see how everyone responds. Ideally they roll Dickey out and see how he looks early on, and if he coughs up you go bring Price in.

I say throw Dickey out there and see what he can do. Maybe the knuckleball will throw off the Rangers lineup.

I understand Price was brutal, but he's better than Dickey. He's elite. He's David Price. Im not going to let his 0-6 record, or what he did last start get in the way of him going out there to try to keep us alive, if im Gibby.
