Who do you want? Astros or Royals

Title and poll says it all. Who would you rather face on Friday?

Personally, I'd rather have the Royals. I know we won't have home advantage but I think we match up better against them.

Looks like it will be the Royals.

Whoever has fewer left handed bats.

Seemed to do well against KC this season. And the thought of Rasmus hitting HR's against us bothers me....

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Houston
C.Rasmus LF-4
L.Valbuena 3B-7
J.Castro C-9

KC
B.Zobrist (s) 2B-2
E.Hosmer 1B-4
K.Morales (s) DH-5
M.Moustakas 3B-6
A.Gordon LF-8

For sure Houston is the less lefty dominant lineup. Other than Cain, 5 of their top 6 hitters (although they blessedly don't play them that way) are left or switch.

Both have 3 lefties, but the Royals have 2 switch hitters (Morales and Zobrist)

I'm sorry, but HOU just showed exactly why Gibbons going to Price was exactly the right thing to do yesterday (to be fair, I was a little perplexed, but in my defense I didn't realize Loup was out too, then it made perfect sense). HOU used Fiers instead of Keuchel, now they're stuck two and facing the Herrerra/Madson/Davis trio for the rest of the game. Sure you'd prefer to have Keuchel for game 1 of the ALCS, but you know what you have to do first? Win the **** game.

Royals because the bad blood between us makes it more intense. Second, don't want to face Keuchel.

The Royals' pitching doesn't scare me. Facing Keuchel 2 times is scary.

I don't know much about either team other than watching a few of their games here in the post-season. That being said id have to say id rather face KC on the sheer fact that i dont want us to face Keuchel 2-3 times in a series.

Johnny Cueto had one hell of a great game tonight, and facing him twice won't be a picnic. A two-hitter through eight, and 8K. His slider was basically unhittable. 91 pitches. he could have finished the game. The only good thing is that by pitching tonight, he won't likely pitch in Games 1 or 2.

I'd rather face KC than Houston. After that last series we had against the Royals that almost led to a brawl, it would make for some great TV. I also feel like we would hit KC's rotation much harder than the Astros. Houston also has a bunch of all-or-nothing power hitters who could get hot for one series and end up hurting HR prone guys like Estrada and Dickey. Only thing the Royals have going for them is a lock down bullpen though. But Texas had that too, and we beat them.

I'd want Houston. Keuchel is great but we can light up their bullpen, we'd have home field too.

I don't see either team beating the Jays 4 times though. Especially after this Game 5 we just went through..that hardened us. IMO Texas was the toughest of the 3 teams.

He could still pitch game 3 and 7, just like Stro.

Nothing should scare us.

We should scare everyone.

Doesn't matter we will beat them both. We are the best team left.

We have unfinished business with the Royals. Sanchez, Jose, and JD in particular.

Yes, but two times is better than three for us.

If it's the Royals, these would be the preliminary matchups

Game 1: Price vs Volquez
Game 2: Estrada vs Ventura
Game 3: Stroman vs Cueto
Game 4: Dickey vs Young or Medlen
Game 5: Price vs Volquez
Game 6: Estrada vs Ventura
Game 7: Stroman vs Cueto
