Buehrle hasn't made decision regarding retirement

Mark Buehrle may not be retiring after this season after all.

Widely assumed to be calling it quits after the Toronto Blue Jays' playoff run, the 36-year-old told ESPN he hasn't made a decision on his future and will listen to offers in the offseason.

"I snuck into this league, and I'm going to sneak out," Buehrle said, referring to his remarkable journey to the majors after being selected in the 38th round of the 1998 amateur draft.

The southpaw finished 2015 just 1 1/3 innings short of his 15th straight campaign pitching at least 200 innings. He posted a 15-8 record with a 3.81 ERA for the AL East champions, but his late-season struggles kept him off the playoff roster.

Buehrle added that he has no interest in signing a minor-league deal, and is only seeking a guaranteed contract.

Don't see him re-signing with Toronto, but we'll see. I bet he'd go to St. Louis (his home) if they offer something.

I really can't see him getting too much interest. While I do get that these guys love playing the game and it must be depressing to reach the end i don't understand them just "hanging on". Let's face facts Mark has seen better days and is it worth being embarrassed like he was that last appearance in B'More.
I hate being bi-polar. It's awesome.

He hardly embarrassed himself this season. 200 innings and an era under 4 is more than acceptable production from him. Quite frankly, he overachieved what I and probably most of us expected of him this season.

The last month and a half of the season was not good for Buerhle. As much as I'd like to say it was, it really wasn't. You could see that he had gotten tired. Everyone hits the wall at some point.

ETA: Sorry should say the last appearance in Tampa.
