media really trying to stir the pot here... where is all of this information really coming from anyway? the headline could easily be, "david price, the ultimate team player." and the proceeding stories could be along the lines, of "desperate times call for desperate measures. its not the ideal situation for a bonafide ace, but price is willing to do whatever it takes to get this team its first world series birth since 93." all while continuing to praise price and identify how gibbons has no other options since both of his lefty relievers are out and kansas is fielding a strong lefty lineup.

instead theyre here trying to create dissent in the locker room, basically saying gibbons is an idiot for using price and painting price like some prima donna who needs to be handled delicately and is bitching and moaning about his role on the team. as if hes in the clubhouse going, "whatever man, this **** sucks, but ill do it, you're the boss." seems like american media really doesnt want him to re-sign here next season. tired of this bull from these media people. finally get some success and theyre trying to bring us down. same guy that says donaldson shouldnt win the mvp, and if you notice a not-so-subtle backhanded jab at price, suggesting he's the "cy-young runner up." **** you.

Scumbag journalism at its finest. Anyone really surprised by these "articles"? Extremely slow newsday for baseball, no games being played. Let's just make up random crap without any hard evidence to substantiate it and watch the internet go crazy. Mission Accomplished.

Step 1 - Don't give a **** about the Jays all year
Step 2 - Continually promote bull against the Jays
Step 3 - Who cares, it's just the Jays

If Loup or Cecil are available we are most likely not having this discussion.

I think some of the stuff they're doing with Price is dumb but I also can't blame Gibby for not feeling confident with all those jabronis in the bullpen.

There's nothing new about starters being used out of the bullpen in the playoffs. **** off, Passan.

passan's a KC homer dipsh*t. from the comments section of the article itself, the titles of passan's last six glorified toilet paper squares.

"Toronto's continued misuse of David Price puts the ace in a difficult ALCS position"
"Blue Jays' embarrassing Game 4 puts Royals on the cusp of the World Series"
"How Blue Jays' perfectionism could work against them after Game 3 win over Royals"
"The Blue Jays watch as October chaos unfolds in Game 2 of ALCS"
"Too sexy: How Edinson Volquez tamed the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS"
"How the bemoaned Johnny Cueto willed the Royals to the ALCS"

Price has been just as terrible on normal rest in past playoff appearances. People need to stop coming up with excuses for him.

Also, Donaldson needs to ask Passan how his ass tastes after he wins the MVP.

I never buy into "this national sportswriter hates my team" stuff, but his stuff going back to the MVP article is blatant.

He's a piece of ****. Not only is he a KC homer, but he's doubly pissed off that Donaldson is going to win MVP over Trout. His obsession with Trout is unhealthy.

Who is making excuses for Price? Everyone agrees that he has **** the bed in the playoffs, regardless of being on normal rest.

The argument from these writers (I'm assuming, since I'm not going to read their crap) is that Toronto is misusing Price by putting him in the bullpen. I'm merely pointing out that this has no bearing on his poor performance (which is well documented, regardless of how he's been used).
