Dirt infield...(persistently pessimistic fans: "Dumpster diving", I want grass, disregarding progress.) Yep, I just did it, defended Shapiro because Beeston had to go as President. Will give him time for team on the field but I'm actually buoyed by his straight talk for SkyDome.

Guys, the media has perpetuated such a false narrative of Shapiro because (especially Sportsnet) Beeston and AA were their friends and gave them the inside scoop. Shapiro keeps his cards close and is more calculated looking big picture, versus making that blockbuster move.
How people hate on him without having perspective on what he did in Cleveland (and make no mistake, he has done more in Cleveland than AA has in Toronto easily), baffles me.
Look at Cleveland right now, they have a dearth of talent, especially their pitching, which almost every team in baseball looks at and says, they have 2-3 ace type pitchers on their team for a very long time.

Calling him robocop is nice isn't it? The phrasing that I can't seem to make actually be funny is something about after putting the "I" back in Shapiro, next up he'll be putting it back in Blue Jeyes. That's not it though, if anyone finds the line, let me know.
