Hmm... I don't see his name anywhere in the credits. Maybe he's in the second half of this season.

So whats the deal, is this show good? I watched some very early thinking it was gonna be a documentary, but when it was a drama of sorts I bailed immediately. I generally need at least 2 or 3 people hype a show to me before I make an effort....

I enjoy it. I watched the first few episodes when it came out and wasn't impressed so I stopped watching it. Over a year after it came out my brother kept telling me that I should give it another chance so I did and I've enjoyed it ever since.

I like the show, but the writing isn't great. If you like this kind of stuff read Bernard Cornwell's series. Freaking awesome.

Actually I love Cornwell, I have read most of his stuff aside from the Sharpe's series which I think is "too Modern". So perhaps I 'll try some more Vikings....
I do have the 2 most recent books of the vikings / Alfred series waiting on my shelf. His Warlord Chronicles series is phenomenal.

I thought same about Sharpe prior to reading them because I was coming mainly from reading fantasy type books, but I really loved Sharpe. He's the same kind of rogue character that Sharpe always writes. I read the whole Sharpe series in about a year, and they were really great.
