Sucks for him after establishing himself as a major leaguer last year, but we'll survive just fine without him. Have to think Montero will be up soon. I'd also be considering Michael Morse as a FA addition right now (ironically another former PED user).

He's been horrible so far this season likely because a lot of this investigation was going on (including any appeals) behind the scenes and only he knew so it was probably bothering him mentally.

Montego if we only want a DH and use Edwin more frequently at 1B. Or some combination of Burns and Pompey, with Carrera going to BUF.

Colabello's statement said he got the call from MLBPA on the 13th of March. Wouldn't the front office have been informed of this impending suspension?

Also, it explains why he fell off a cliff mentally during ST and to start the season.

He could have also fallen off due to having to stop taking it.


Looks like Jays are calling up Hutch and going with a 6-man rotation. This makes more sense for our club than having the Smoak/Cola 1B redundancy.

Wow. I'm shocked. Colabello is the last person I would expect to be taking PED's. Just doesn't seem the type, and he doesn't show any physical signs.

It certainly could explain his brutal performance of late, whether it be mental stress of being off the juice.

I wonder if the Jays knew last year that Cola was using. That would go a long ways to explaining the otherwise puzzling Smoak signing.

When guys get caught they should seriously just man up and admit it. Every single time a guy is caught he has no idea how it ended up in his system. It's laughable at this point
