Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays
Friday, April 29, 7:10 PM EDT , Tropicana Field

Aaron Sanchez, RHP

Sanchez surrendered a season-high 10 hits and six earned runs in his last outing, an 8-5 loss against the Athletics. He pitched seven innings of one-run ball against the Rays on April 5 and picked up a no-decision.

VS

Drew Smyly, LHP

Smyly is 1-1 with a 4.96 ERA in six career outings vs. the Jays. His record has disguised how well he’s thrown this season, locating all 4 of his pitches and frequently getting ahead in the count. He is 3-2 with a 3.58 ERA in 13 outings at The Trop.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays
Saturday, April 30, 6:10 PM EDT , Tropicana Field
J.A. Happ, LHP

Happ allowed three runs over seven innings on 92 pitches his last time out against the Athletics. The veteran left-hander is 1-1 with a 6.46 ERA in six starts at Tropicana Field.

VS

Chris Archer, RHP

Archer picked up his 1st win Monday vs. the O's, when he allowed no runs in 6 2/3. His secret: Locating his pitches and getting ahead in the count. He’s primarily been known as a fastball-slider pitcher, but he successfully used his changeup Monday.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays
Sunday, May 1, 1:10 PM EDT , Tropicana Field
Marcus Stroman, RHP

Stroman has tossed at least six innings in seven of his last eight starts dating back to last year. He is 2-1 with a 4.74 ERA in three career starts against the Rays, and this is the second time this year he will be matched up against them.

VS

Jake Odorizzi, RHP

Odorizzi has improved in preventing the big inning and he’s also shown an ability to survive when he doesn’t have his best stuff, which he did Tuesday while holding the O's to 1 run in 5 frames. Righties are hitting .329, lefties .225 vs. him in '16.

The bats are hurting and they got an up hill battle to get it rite when facing those Starters. Tampa has impressive skill in developing pitchers.

Baltimore has come back to reality and the division is wide open. Jays need to make a move out of this slump soon or Boston will run off eventually. They are threatening to do so.

Let's see if our BP can handle 2 whole innings with a lead.

Storen can't. Now for Cecil.

Storen throwing a 90 MPH fastball over the plate isn't really a good combination.

Certainly looks like we should have sold high. His output has been comparable with Darwin Barney thus far. You can get an entire bullpen for 20 million.

He shouldn't have changed his batting stance (leg kick) to begin with. It was fine. It's all mental now. Lets hope he turns it around soon.

Sanchez with a gem of a game!

And Hoffman is having a pretty solid start to his season in the PCL. This is why I hate deadline trades. Nothing will overtake the dumbness of the Dickey trade, but this one may approach depending on whether Tulo is done and Hoffman turns into the #1 starter many project him to be.

It doesn't help much when Reyes replacement hits 10 home runs as a rookie at SS for the Rockies either. I know that's not part of the trade but they aren't even downgraded at SS from the trade at this point.

Let's see where he ends up. Brett Lawrie also looked like Mike Trout his first two months with the Jays.

Sure, it's just not fun watching success elsewhere while we are getting Swing and a Tulo
