Anyone here the morning show today?
He said the reason why the Jays are struggling and off to a slow start is because there's something going on in the clubhouse. Players are not getting along according to someone who's close with the team. Even Donaldson said that some Blue Jays 'need to evaluate their approach'. Could there be something to this?

Who knows but there are plenty of people you could look at.
Stroman has been mouthing off every time the bullpen is blowing a lead while in the dugout. Bautista/Encarnacion are probably feeling disrespected by the organization.
Then you could just be talking about the fact that the bullpen has been garbage and letting the team down. Or maybe everyone hates Thole.
It's also Dean Blundell and he could just be making stuff up. Maybe he's back to his homophobic statement style **** disturbing.

Team not doing as well as expected = chemistry problems
Team doing better than expected = great chemistry
Just the typical lazy media narrative, nothing to see here. Besides since when did getting along have anything to do with doing well in baseball. It's an team game divided into isolated individual components.
Although I kind if hope that a SS and 2B hate each other so much one day that they just try hitting each other in the face with the baseball on a double play ball.

One thing AA learned is how to bring in character guys and get them to play together. We saw this last year.

AA was notorious for picking up guys who had issues with other clubs. Guys like Escobar, Rasmus and Lawrie. He made some trade deadline moves and the team got hot. He had nothing to do with getting them to work together. If anything give that credit to Gibby if it goes to anyone. The AA revisionism in this town knows no bounds at times.
And Dean Blundell is a hack with no sources trying to drum up a narrative for talking points.

This was true of AA until his last offseason with the team, when he brought in character guys like Donaldson and Martin and jettisoned questionable types like Lawrie and Lind. Then he added Price at the deadline, who reportedly improved clubhouse chemistry/morale quite a bit.
I don't think Gibby deserves any credit here.

Pretty sure Donaldson wasn't known as a character guy. Didn't he have some big blow up with Billy Beane or something? Trading Lawrie for Donaldson was about getting one of the best players in baseball, not so much a character thing.

As I recall Donaldson was upset that he hadn't gotten a single day off all year or something. It had nothing to do with his teammates.
You're right though that getting rid of Lawrie for Dosh wasn't for character reasons. But if Lawrie hadn't gone for Dosh, I'm pretty sure he would have been traded elsewhere.
AA made a significant, well publicized about face on attitudinally challenged players that off-season.

Well no ****, sherlock. Winning is fun, barely .500 is not.

Gibby is an idiot for taking out Stroman early every god damn game even if though he just begins to struggle.

More likely it's people searching for a reason for a slow but far from disastrous start. 21 of the players that played last season have seen game action this year so there's been very little turnover from last season's reportedly great clubhouse.
IMO there's nothing going on that a better bullpen and more production from the bottom of the lineup can't fix. And when they start winning, nobody will be searching for stories like this anymore

Great chemistry if you ignore the losing record and zero playoff appearances the Jays posted under AA for all but the final 2 months of his tenure. AA was extremely smart to leave on a high note so that everyone forgets his mediocre reign wasn't he?

Dean Blundell is a hack. He's sometimes on my radio when I turn on the car after listening to the game the prior night, and it is cringeworthy.
The other day they had an extended bit because when JV (very obviously) said "I just have to play with heart" the word heart sounded like hard.
After about 5 straight minutes of them joking about this, someone points out he probably meant to say heart and Blundell acts like he didn't even realize.
My eyes are in danger of rolling permanently into my head when that tool is talking.

This guy probably doesn't have any sources on the inside. The only thing I have noticed this year is that EE and Bautista seem to be a bit more muted in the dugout, and usually sitting by themselves. Could just be that they are upset that the team isn't doing well, or that they themselves feel like they're in a slump.

I can't believe a thread started by something Dean Blundell said has made it this far, I can't stand listening to him. I didn't love Brady and Walker but at least they seemed like they actually watch sports, not just making bold statements without actually games.
