Not a good day for Happ's luck to start running out.

You'd think even by luck we'd get a clutch hit eventually. Nope.

Turns out the 2.05 ERA wasn't sustainable.

Jays come back as well as they win 1 run games, so this could be a long one.

I suppose not but this team's season is definitely trending in the wrong direction and it seems we haven't even hit rock bottom yet.

Well at least we probably aren't gonna lose by one run again?

The fight from this team just isn't there. I don't know what it's going to take to try and wake them up. You would think something like yesterday might do it. Time to fire the manager?

Not exactly the showing you'd like after yesterday's collapse.

This isn't football or basketball. When you're getting blown out because your starting pitcher lays a complete egg it isn't a reflection on the entire team that they're not trying. It's one guy having a terrible day.

And firing the manager in baseball generally does nothing. This is the same manager who they finished 48-15 or whatever last year. He had very little to do with that hot streak just like he has very little to do with a poor but far from disasterous 19-21 start. Unless you want to blame Gibby for starting a pitcher with a 2.05 ERA tonight I'm not sure what he could have done to prevent this.

Two games in a row Gibby is ejected. Frustration boiling over.

He's got to be feeling the heat right now.

Yeah, they're not firing the manager. If he does that, Shapiro is the next target of the fans' wrath and he's already been through that. He'll use Gibbons as a shield as long as possible.

It might be time for Biagini to be moved to high leverage. They've tried virtually everyone else with Sanchez out and nobody has been able to handle it (other than arguably Floyd at times).

Yup. That's what GM's do in every sport.

Anyways the problem isn't the GM or the manager but too many underachieving players through 40 games. If just a few players flip the switch they might go 28-12 over the next 40. At least they haven't played themselves out if anything at this point like they did in 2013.

I guess this isn't the inning where Storen gets his life back together.

Lol, I will indeed suck it, Drew Storen.
