Syndegaard throws a fastball behind Chase Utley over his slide from the NLDS series. He gets ejected. Amazing how piss poor the AL Umpiring was in the Bautista situation. It probably all would have ended had they ejected Bush.

And Phil Hughes gets to throw at JD twice with no ejection. All that but I'm really not surprised

Are we going to have to talk about this/make threads all season long, or can we finally let it go?

Don't open the thread up and you'll neither be reading nor talking about it.

Let what go? The MLB has shown it does not want to or has the inability to be consistent in what appear to be very similar situations. Looking back at both Bush hitting Bautista and Hughes throwing at JD twice and the results being night and day compared to what syndergaard got is very troublesome. Even if it wasn't the blue jays the MLB has historically had a very hard time being consistent with their rules and that is what irks me.

Consistency is a problem any time you transition from one set of rules to another. MLB is clearly cracking down on this kind of "let the players settle it on the field" behaviour, and it's about time. Whether the umpires haven't been made clear enough, or some are stubborn to adjust, is hard to say. The ump in Minnesota was clearly an idiot, as under any set of rules in MLB over the past decade, Hughes should have been ejected. Any time they used to issue a warning, though, should just go automatically to an ejection and suspension. Having a warning for the first guy to throw at somebody only incentivizes it to happen in the first place, and then you have a beanball war where only one side is punished. If it was automatic ejection + 6 game suspension, or around there, it would probably happen a LOT less.

You ask "let go of what", then go on to list all the frustration that I'm referencing. We need to let the incidents (and subsequent anger/frustration) go.
Everyone around here agrees, Bautista was jobbed, as were the Jays, in Texas. Also, Hughes should have been tossed for throwing (twice) at Donaldson.
Aside from agreeing with ourselves, complaining, and questioning MLB's consistency, what else can we do? I think it's time we just let all of it go, and move on with enjoying the season.
