ST: Blue Jays vs. Orioles | July 29-31

Huge series as we currently stand 2 games back of the Orioles for top spot in the AL East:
AL East Standings:
Probable Pitchers:Friday @ 7:07pm: Marco Estrada (5-4, 2.94 ERA) vs. Kevin Gausman (2-7, 3.77)
Saturday @ 1:07pm: JA Happ (13-3, 3.27) vs. Yovani Gallardo (3-2, 5.37)
Sunday @ 1:07pm: Aaron Sanchez (11-1, 2.72) vs. Chris Tillman (14-3, 3.47)
Need to know:- Manny Machado and Chris Davis have not enjoyed a lot of success against Estrada during their careers. The two Orioles sluggers are a combined 4-for-24, but three of those four hits were home runs.
- Edwin Encarnacion has faced Gausman more than anyone else in the Blue Jays lineup but he's still looking for his first hit against the Orioles righty. Encarnacion will enter this game 0-for-12 with three strikeouts and one RBI vs. Gausman.
- Toronto should be well rested for this game. The Blue Jays have a day off on Thursday and the club also sat several of its prime-time players during the series finale against the Padres on Wednesday. Michael Saunders, Martin and Troy Tulowitzki were among those who got the day off.

When I criticized Gibby for resting Tulo and Saunders Wednesday I didn't even realize there was an off day today.

Two of our most injury prone players played a 12 inning game the night before and had an early game scheduled the next day. Yeah I'm gonna go with the manager on this one.
