Man, I feel sick to my stomach and I'm at a lost for words.

RIP and prayers out his family:

Oh man, went to check my fantasy team this morning and saw that his start was pushed back. Came back from my morning dog walk to find out he was dead.

RIP Jose.

Yeah, I saw yesterday that his start was pushed back to Monday. You wonder if he even would have been on this boat if he was scheduled to start today?

It's also crazy that he could win the Cy Young this year. His numbers have been dominant. Including 253 strike outs in 182.1 innings.

I think they should honour him with the NL CY YOUNG.

Tragic. He was a Cy Young candidate this year with a very bright future ahead of him.

Apparently the boat he was in hit a jetty at high speed, and no one on board was wearing a lifejacket. It wasn't his boat, and the owner wasn't on board, so you have to wonder if no one on board was familiar with the area. Hopefully alcohol and/or drugs weren't involved.

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Wow, RIP. What an unbelievable loss to baseball. This guy had the potential to be the best once Kershaw got done. Absolutely filthy stuff. And he was so young too. Saddest part in all this is that his unborn child will grow up without its father.

It's crazy, we often elevate athletes, especially good ones, into larger than life figures who live in their own insulated world. That's why it's always such a shock to see them go through tragedies like these.

Very sad news. Just show's you how fragile life is. You're here one day. Gone the next.

RIP Jose.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Words cannot express how big of a tragedy this is. I was hoping that this was not true when i first read it on twitter. Condolences to his entire family. Devastating news. Sad day for MLB. He had a great future ahead of him. Shocked beyond belief.

Tons of pitchers get their starts pushed back and forth. The majority of them don't end up dead. It's just a freak accident, there's no blame here.

**** up news. Huge loss for baseball.

Hopefully alcohol/recklessness wasn't a factor in his death.

Apparently high speed was a major factor, and he passed away because of the impact of the crash ( hopefully he didn't suffer).

Such a tragic event this morning 3 young men passed away far too early.
