So these are pretty much all the scenarios, correct?

Win 3 games = Jays clinch WC, clinch home field for WC
Win 2 games = Jays clinch WC (Best Tigers can finish is tied), clinch home field with 1 or more Orioles losses
Win 1 game = Jays clinch WC with 1 Tigers loss, home field for WC with 2 or more Orioles losses
Win 0 games = Jays clinch WC with 2 Tigers losses, or 3 Orioles losses

There are a few other scenarios but they all end in Jays going fishing

This is going to be tough. Sox are still going to play to win, they do not want us potentially making the post season - we've proven we can beat them

Tigers play the Braves
O's play the Yankees
Seattle plays the A's
Tigers have a game in hand vs Cleveland who will probably put their B squad out there again

I'm nervous

Mark it down.

I will cry if we lose tonight. I guarantee it.

Finally, somebody making a guarantee that they can follow through on!

How can this team not score runs? Why don't all 9 guys just bunt every time since swinging is obviously not working? Maybe it's something to think about. Y'know, shake things up.

We're obviously missing BABIP JUICED GOD Colabello. I really loved his swing, a thing of beauty. Steroids are awesome.

We really suck right now but just find a damn way to get in.

If Estrada has another really good game tonight, I think you have to strongly consider pitching him on short rest in the WC game. We probably won't have the luxury of skipping Sanchez's final start and, as good as Liriano has been lately, I'd rather put our fate in the hands of Estrada or even Stroman.

I heard that it's probably going to be raining tonight and tomorrow night in Boston.

Hope it holds up.

Also today I watched a lot of Game 5 against the Rangers, and Jose's HRs in Game 6 against the Royals and got sad. Good times.

Personally I'm going to be focusing on the Detroit game a lot more. If Detroit loses tonight we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Doesn't clinch it for us but odds increase tremendously.

I feel pretty good that if we win just 1 game we *should* have good odds to get into the playoffs. I mean anything can happen but the teams behind the 2 wildcards need to be perfect to get in whereas there's still room for error for us.

Even that said, it's pretty difficult to see the Jays suddenly catching fire in the playoffs if based on what we've seen over 160+ games this season. But, it is baseball after all. A very typical 2016 Jays outcome would be them falling backwards into a wildcard spot, and then losing the wildcard game while only getting 3 hits and losing 2-1 or something boring like that.

So I'm assuming a rain delay as MLB.tv is just having the "commercial break in progress" sign up indefinitely?

Yankees get out of the top 1st without giving anything. Go Yankees Go!

Rain starting to come down hard it seems.
