Games 4 and 5 - 4:07 start
Just a heads up to those looking to sell their tickets...
If Los Angeles loses, expect the Jays to be playing at 4:07 on both Tuesday and Wednesday. There's still the chance if they win, we still play at 4 though.
We'll still have the 8 pm slot on Monday.
If LA wins, I'm hopeful that we get a 6:07 or 7:07 start, with LA then getting a 9:07 or 10:07 start as they'll be in LA for Tues & Wed.
Not sure how many people were aware of this possibility.

Expectation will be:
Fri 8:07
Sat 4:07
Mon 8:07
Tue 4:07
Wed 4:07
Fri 8:07*
Sat 8:07*
Games 6 & 7 will depend on the other series as well. If the other is over, we'll be prime time. If not, we could be looking at a 4:07 slot on the Friday. I'm not sure for the Saturday though, as I'd believe MLB will give the AL Game 7 the prime slot over Game 6 in the NL. However, if its Chicago vs LA compared to Cleveland vs Toronto ... well...

Apparently MLB likes 90% of people not being able to watch their product.

Back-2-Back-(2-Back) games favour Jays.
We got the starting pitching depth, so we certainty want to run thru our depth vs their depth, and have a lower chance of seeing Kluber 3 times.
Also, if we had a day off between games, we might see Andrew Miller play 5-9th every game. Bunch those games up together and they have to pick and chose when/if they want to bring in Miller, whereas we'll be hopefully that our starting pitching depth can take us into the 7th.

4p is perfect for me. My kids are young but huge fans and they can actually watch a 4p game compared to a 8p game

Yes, let's make it possible for teams to consider going with a 2 man rotation.

If anything baseball needs to find ways to reduce days off instead of adding them. There should be no more than 1 day off in any 7 game series.

4:07 is horrid for me!
Why is it so hard to make the games at 7 or 8 pm?

I just dont get it. Every other sport outside of football plays multiple playoff games at the same time. Football does it because they have so few games.
I dont get why the MLB cant be like the NHL and NBA. Most fan bases dont watch other playoff games from start to finish if their team isnt in it and in other cases some could careless. Give your head a shake MLB. Jays and Indians fans cant watch their own team in the ALCS for crying out loud.

Agreed, my kids can watch the game too now. I am self employed however, so I can easily just say I'm done at 3 those days. I recognize not everyone can be ready to go at 4pm.

Agreed. As a Jays fan basically exclusively I'm actually more likely to watch the other game if it's already say, the 5th inning right after the Jays game ends.
Start the Jays games at 7 and the NLCS at 9 (Chicago is central so it works perfectly).

No off-day following travel is a bad idea. For example, the LA-Chicago travel would be rough.

It's times like these that I truly find myself grateful for the fact that I am self employed.

Personally i dont say "i need to rush home to watch team A vs team B" even if it is the WS. I only watch my team - the Jays. MLB is stupid when it comes to their playoff times. Could careless what happens in other series and if i did i would be able to watch the end of the game or pvr it.
I would probably only watch the last few innings of a WS in a potential deciding game. Watched the last 5 minutes of the Cavs-Warriors. Watched the last couple minutes of the Penguins winning the cup because i like Kessel if i didnt then i dont think i would have. I usually watch the entire Superbowl because i am at a superbowl party and its only one game. And i didnt watch the Royals win the WS because i was still sour they beat us but i normally would watch the deciding game but at that point all those games are at 8pm and not competing with others.
Unless i have my head in the grass i think no one is watching any games prior to the WS outside of the fanbases. And it makes even less sense; the actual fanbases cant watch their own team play because they are at work or commuting to get home so they lose viewers. Idiots ruining the league - idiots.

Yeah, you definitely have your head in the grass. A lot of people just like the sport(s) and want to watch as many playoff games as possible, regardless if their favourite team is playing or not.
