Were those the only two players we lost and only player we gained?

Both look like big reaches. Biagini had 130 innings at AA with a 3.06 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 0.3HR/9 when he was selected. These guys have nowhere near that track record.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

No, but he had TJ surgery in 2015 and last year was his recovery year, with predictably erratic results. If he recovers his 2014 form, he could stick. Otherwise, it's a petty cash move. Here's where you trust your scouting staff, and assume they have a better handle on his current status than we do as fans just reading a bunch of numbers.

For sure it's petty cash - certainly not upset about it by any means. Just saying I doubt either of these claims work out, is all.

100% as these Rule 5 selections rarely work out... Jays got lucky last year, as missing on these is not a rarity, making a selection that sticks is

I remember Smoral being so hyped when we drafted and signed him. Everyone was saying he was easily a first round talent who only slipped because of a broken foot. Sucks that it didn't work out.

He just had no control whatsoever. Could rarely get through an inning. He modified his mechanics last winter, but it didn't matter. Big time pick if it works out, but really, Jays couldn't justify keeping him any longer with no signs of improvement.
