How did I not know this call existed?

I consider myself a pretty knowledgeable modern Jay fan but nothing compared to how knowledgeable I was about them in the early 90s.

Just this very night I found out that Vin Scully called the Joe Carter 93 world series homer. I've obviously heard the Sean McDonough call, the Tom Cheek call, the Philly radio call but was completely ignorant to the fact that Vin Scully was in the house and called the Carter homer!

Is this also news to some of you other older die hard Jay fans or am I just some astronimical statistical anomaly that somehow avoided knowledge of a commonly known call of the Carter homer in spite of being a monstrous Jay's fan in the 80s and 90s?

24 hours ago I'd have given 50 to 1 this call never happened to anyone proposing that it did. I've always took pride in my "I'm 100% confident" sport wagers when people propose bets that I knew I was right about. At only 40 years old I now have to accept 100% confidence means nothing, I'm shook.
