Makes me want to vote for Pillar even more when it comes to all-star voting. I hate( but understand from business prospective) how we are catering to these people who can't accept multiple apologies for saying a slur.

Lol and to add to the drama, Teheran throws 95ish and Stroman pitching for us isn't exactly our most relaxing style pitcher.

So apparently, watching Tim and Sid rn, some Verteran Braves player said "we will have a fight today" ....someone is definitely getting hit lol.

I agree, people are going bonkers over this. If I thought Pillar had a history of being an **** before this incident (like Yunel Escobar), I'd possibly think differently. Instead Pillar seems like a pretty upstanding guy, and I bet this is out of character for him. He made a stupid mistake. Take the punishment, and move on.

The word has no place in society, but people need to better pick their targets of ire. I'm a socially liberal guy, but I agree with many pundits that we're becoming a society of snowflakes that need to retreat into "safe spaces" when a bad word is uttered. No, I highly doubt Kevin Pillar is trying to spearhead a movement to undo decades worth of progress on human rights.

Pillar has been suspended by the team for two games. One silver lining: Dwight Smith Jr, a deserving sort still of marginal prospect age, has been promoted.

Perhaps. Part of the problem is that it's harder to conclusively say that a pitcher was throwing at someone, rather than just losing their release point on four straight pitches aimed at a player's head. I mean, everyone knows what the intent was, but with the appeal system on suspensions they often get reduced if the beaning isn't immediately followed by handbags on the mound.

We'll bet the Jays tonight boys.

I'm fine with how the Pillar thing was handled. From him and the team. I think we can probably put it behind us now.
