Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Looking at Yonder Alonso's stats, him and Smoak must have hung out together over the off-season.

Smoak, Alonso, and Logan Morrison. The trifecta of ~30 year old former top prospects.

Over the last 5 games the Jays are 0-32 with runners in scoring position.

Smoak was on pace for 42 home runs before game 1,could be closer to 44 now. Paces are just paces but talk about a breakout season.

I find this to be a quite troubling stat. But should normalize at some point here.

Once again though this team is back in the thick of things and there still seems to be room for some improvement.
That's what she said.

Happ with control issues. Not good.

Where would this team be without Smoak?? The guy is a beast!! A bargain at 4 million per.

We should be beating up on teams like the A's. Lets win tonight! Looking for a bounce back game for Estrada.

Go Jays Go!

I think it is still too early to tell, just like saying Pillar has it all figured out.

See Michael Saunders pre-All Star break last year... when (if?) Smoak is still raking in August then we should have this conversation again.

must be something in the air in Oakland. The A's are crushing balls out in record fashion. 53 HR's in 29 games played. Best in the majors.

How did Travis injury happen though, sliding back into 3rd base?

There are three guarantees in life- Death, Taxes, and Devon Travis being on the DL for an extended period of time. So frustrating to read this time and time again. I said this before- but this guy is a part-time player, who should not be automatically penciled as the Jays long-term solution at Second Base for the years ahead, simply because of his health issues. I feel bad for the guy, but some players as we have seen throughout the years, are just injury prone. Maybe go another direction in the off-season to address Second Base.
