You have to question the preparedness of the starting rotation. We have the worst record in the AL in runs given up in the 1st inning.

Parmley stays over Smith? Fascinating.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Neither would get much playing time at all. As it stands, Smith only got 24 PAs in twelve days, and that was without Carrera. No point sticking him on the bench for a small number of PAs a week. Might as well have it be Parmley, as he's better CF cover.

Don't get this team at all. Only 1 hit through 5 against Gausman??

Not a tonne to get, frankly. Despite having some big names and hitting some dingers, we're rather a bad offense team.

gonna be raptors-getting-blown-out-for-the-second-time-in-a-playoff-series level of infuriating when we can't score 5 runs in any of the games this series

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Too afraid to pitch to Smoak.

Don't know what I was thinking when I guaranteed we wouldn't score more than 10 runs this series. I clearly meant 5.

Whoa, let's score 5 runs in the series before we get into any "per game" stuff.

Pretty basic, fans who want to plug holes to make a run at a playoff spot should consider the weak foundation on which this offence is based.

Is this game the nail in the coffin for the 2017 season? Shutout by **** Kevin Gausman. This is certainly a low point.

We're 26th in DH, 2B, SS and LF production, and we're 24th in RF production. 2B/LF could conceivably be upgraded, but DH/SS/RF are supposed to be among our better players.
