Pretty incredible to get out of the inning without any runs scored after walking the first three guys.

Ugghh... finding Tabby even more annoying than normal tonight. Dan and Buck are way out of Tabby's league in the broadcast booth (when Buck is the colour guy, that is).

Estrada on pace for a 13 walk, 200+ pitch no-hit shutout.

Is it about time to conclude that it isn't happening this year?

And we don't need a hot steak before the trade deadline to slow down any rebuild.

Yeah, I think so. We might pull off a short hot streak, but there really isn't anything this team does well beyond its bullpen. We're between the 21st- and 24th-best offense by advanced metrics, and 26th by raw runs per game. Fangraphs' metrics have us as the second-worst defensive team in baseball, and our starting pitching is 13th in fWAR, 18th in FIP, and 17th in ERA...so, pretty well average, maybe modestly above-average if Sanchez comes back strong. It's hard to go on a months-long tear with a good 'pen, solid rotation, awful defense and meek bats.

Wild Card is as follows (assuming the Mariners don't blow a large lead to the Angels):

NYY +3.0
MIN --
TB --
LAA 1.0
BAL 1.5
KC 1.5
SEA 1.5
TEX 2.0 (in the time it took me to type this, Matt Bush blew a three-run lead. Great, because **** Matt Bush).
TOR 3.5

Just got back from the game. Lots of Red Sox fans at Rogers Centre. Great night for baseball.

With all the walks I was thinking I should walk home after the game.

I have had enough of seeing Loup in a Jays uniform. He has not been good since 2015. Time for him to be DFA soon. Give someone else a chance instead. Looking forward to the trade deadline. Everyone should be made available for the right price. No untouchables on this team. That means entertaining offers for Osuna as well. His value will be the highest given the season he has. Nobody knows what could happen with him in 2018 (his anxiety, etc.). Take a hammer to this team, and rebuild.

Yeah, I've had just about enough of Loup as well. You can tell Gibby doesn't trust him either, as he's near the bottom of the depth chart. I knew when he came in that the Jays would lose. If there are more deserving guys needing a spot, I have no issues with DFA'ing him, or trading him for something (maybe a little cash).

I sure hope we pull off a hot streak before the deadline, because the guys you'd want to move in a rebuild are losing value fast at the moment. Donaldson, Martin, and Happ should all bring great to decent returns. Bautista and Morales are likely movable as salary dumps without much of anything coming back. Tulowitzki looks unmovable at the moment, and Estrada's value has taken a big hit with that ugly June.

It would be nice if some players pick it up but a hot streak puts the Jays firmly in the WC race and kills any chance of being sellers.
