ST: Jays (39-45) vs Astros @ Rogers Centre, July 6-9

Post#1 » by Lateral Quicks » Wed Jul 5, 2017 9:03 pm

The red hot (sure, why not) Blue Jays run into the juggernaut Astros for four games starting Thursday night. The Astros were an 84 win team last year, and are on pace for 110 wins this year. :-o

So, baseball being what it is, expect a Blue Jay sweep incoming.

Game 1: 7:07
Game 2: 7:07
Game 3: 1:07
Game 4: 1:07
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

This series could get ugly, I mean UGLY... I expect blowouts similar to when we faces the Red Sox

Houston is 30-9 on the road what the hell. That must be record setting pace.

Astros will win the first three games then the Jays will forfeit the last game in order to get an early break

This series is going to be bad. Hopefully it quickens the process to sell the roster. We ain't competin' for anything anytime soon.

Brutal at-bats. Morales looked sick on all three of those pitches.

I don't understand why more hitters don't take a page from Votto's book (and so many great hitters before him) and choke up with two strikes. We just needed a bloody ball in play there, but no, gotta keep swinging wildly for the fences.

This team's speed is a serious issue, they get hits with runners on base but we have multiple guys that can't score on a single from 2nd base.

*Walks away from tv with bases loaded and one out*

*Comes back and we're down 1-0*

Morales is like the guy from Momento. Every time he sees a slider it's like it's the first one he has seen in his life. He looks like I would trying to hit a MLB slider. How is this possible for a veteran hitter?

This team is truly pathetic w/RISP.

Altuve showing the Jays how it's done there. Poke the **** ball to right field w/RISP. Don't need to hit it 400ft to get an RBI.

Yeah I'm still salty about that first inning.

You would think a veteran team like this would try to shorten up at the plate or have smart AB. Morales just looked like a fool with the bases loaded

Tabby: "2-0 and no place to put him."

But Tabby, the bases aren't loaded.
