Yeah, just shut Tulo down for the season and chalk up his terrible year to health. We know it's age, but yeah, milk the injury excuse.

Chavez finally gets another chance to make a positive contribution to the Jays after not doing so while actually playing for the team for four months.

For that matter, he still owes us for somehow being worse than Fatcisco Blowdero in 2012, as well.

Heh, nice callback. Cordero falls in the Sergio Santos Hall of Fame for closers that were good and then subsequently failed epically in Toronto, joining guys like Kevin Gregg, Drew Storen, Octavio Dotel and a long list of many others.

My god, Refsnyder's Defense is porous. A simple turn to 1st is an issue for him. That's disgusting.

With the day Carrera has had, perhaps another team will nibble? Cheap left handed bat plus speed.

If so, go ahead Shatkins, Anthony Alford is 3-5 today with a HR and a double.

Heh, surely two walk-off grand slams in a week have to boost the ol' trade value a little?

Seven runs in the ninth. LOL.

After blowing the last one it feels good to steal this one, relatively meaningless though it may be.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I am inclined to keep Pearce for 2018, and find a way to have a team take Morales. However- i am fine dangling Pearce to a playoff contender. Use his 6.25 m for other areas in 2018.

Essentially my hope towards the deadline that a team wants to pick up one of Pearce/Zeke for a playoff push. Zeke would've been a decent option on the Royals had they not just picked up Melky due to his slap-hitteryness at an elite level this season.

That 7-spot was not a good tanking move, but I can't even be mad. Good for Steve for getting two walk-off grand slams in a week. Wonder what the stats are on that, if anyone else has ever done it?

There's no moving Morales these days. He's been sub-replacement-level, is owed about $26m, and few teams are in the market for a 1B/DH.

I had a feeling it would be a high scoring game and I was right. Props to Pearce though I was rooting for him to get a grand slam and he delivered

That's incredible. That's one of those records that could hold up for well over 100 years or never be broken.

First game I attended all season. Friends of ours, huge Jays fans, left in the 8th inning and were crying on the go train as we sent updates

I stuck by my lifelong live MLB game rule that if you leave any blowout early, you risk missing the best game you'll ever watch.
