Detroit leads 4-0 in the top of the 5th

It's a 3-game series. Discuss. Or Don't.

Gibby's back after his 5 game absence for unknown reasons that he will decline to discuss. No word on whether it's because he got in a fight with Ted Lilly or Shea Hildebrand.

There's always a threat for a triple play with Morales on base

At this point, I don't think the Jays even need the Salmons Curse to lose, but just to be safe.

Urena doesn't look out of place. Given that the biggest concern about his game is his low OBP in the minors, it's a pleasant surprise to see him taking pitches.

Kendrys Morales just stole home. I repeat, Kendrys Morales just stole a base, and it was home.

Kendrys Morales' first stolen base attempt in over five years is a successful steal of home. His first steal since 2009, and the fifth of his eleven year career. Baseball is weird.

**** Snuggies.

I wouldn't want to be wrapped up in a bunch of fruitless mediocrity either, but that's the theme the Jays are going for this season as a whole, it seems.

Kevin Pillar hitting 15 HRs and being absolute pants at the plate is not something I'd have anticipated when he was a minor leaguer.

I think everybody in baseball has hit 15 home runs this year.

He is what he is at this point: a total hacker who'll get on base 30% of the time with mostly doubles power. Such a shame he never learned to take a walk. I suspect they'll keep him around until three outfielders can prove they're better than him, but it would be a mistake to extend him.

It's nice to see Urena performing like he belongs up here. He had a solid season in the minors last year and sort of regressed this year stat-wise, so he slipped down the prospect rankings. But it's worth remembering that nearly every place had him as one of our Top 5 prospects coming into this season.

Good for Teoscar. Nobody should've expected us to out-tank the Tigers, they're terrible. And all of their players share last names with actual good MLB players, but they're way worse. Machado, Hicks, McCann, Romine, and there's more. Give me a **** break.

Yeah, they're horrible. And with Cleveland looking strong, the White Sox and the Twins quickly rebuilding (really liking how the White Sox rotation could look like next year), and the Royals having Royals winneryness, it's going to be a while until Detroit is a favorite to win the Central again.

First series we've won since the Salmons Curse was used lol.
