Pitchers on both teams have said that there's a noticeable feel difference, and they can't grip the ball to throw sliders.

how is MLB getting away with this, Schad? Can't see the players union going along with this.

I don't know that's the intent. Might be because they have logos all over the damned thing and it has a different sheen to preserve that/they're instructing umps not to rub it with the mud as much? Dunno, but I tend to lean toward MLB harming the game for shortsighted monetary reasons rather than intentionally juicing results in the World Series. That implies that they could hatch and pull off a scheme.

Morrow has been dynamite all playoffs for LA, feel bad seeing him implode like this but good for Houston.

And Correa gets in on the fun too now. This is wild.

Not primarily Morrow's fault, I don't think. Even with lowish pitch counts, five appearances in six days was a really bad idea.

Four runs on six pitches for Morrow. That’s rough.

I wonder how much heat Roberts is gonna take for Morrow.

History check: the longest nine-inning game in MLB history was 4 hours and 45 minutes, set by the Yankees and Red Sox in 2006. If it gets any crazier this may have a chance to dethrone that.

Going to assume the Dodgers get a two-out hit here, because I don't think that runners can be stranded in this game.

Should have sent Taylor on the line drive to Reddick.

Yeah. Reddick doesn’t have a good arm in RF and Taylor has wheels. Would’ve rather taken my chances and gotten within one than resting hopes on André Ethier driving in two. It’s not 2011 anymore.

Audio shows that the third base coach sent him, but it was so loud that Taylor thought he said no.

Reddick's throw wasn't even straight
