Damn that 20 million for Tulo and Martin really sucks... both aging and injury prone. too bad. that money could have been used to get us another OF, SP and catcher.

If the Jays get off to a great start and prove everyone wrong. If they actually a competitive team. Well that means the players are doing good...... That might be a great chance to throw in the towel and deal these guys. Sell High. Even if you get nothing of value back, just get the contracts out. At that point trade everyone. Start a rebuild.

but Rogers will never agree to that

Heavily rumored that JP has been signed as Zaun's replacement still not confirmed.

Short of delivering a near-MVP season, Tulo isn't going to be easy to move without the Jays paying an awful lot of his salary. Even after this season, he will still be owed $38m. After the $20m in 2019, it might become palatable to just pay him off to go back to Colorado to finish his career.

Yeah, he's part of the Jays winter tour this offseason as well. I wouldn't mind seeing him given a shot as team broadcaster. Catchers and pitchers make good analysts because they know the finer points of the game.

JP is a soft guy though. I hope he doesn't try to sugar coat everything, or we'll end up having Wilner 2.0 lol.

They only thing they want is for JP to not watch porn at work and harass the female staff.

Yeah, I doubt it. He called out ownership and management directly when he was traded. Time heals all wounds, but it hasn't been long enough since then. I can see them retiring his jersey and welcoming him back a couple of years after he retires or something.
