White Sox look extremely bad on paper. Need this not to be a trap series.

Feels like we've struggled against the White Sox for years. Need 2/3 or better here. Gotta beat the teams we should be beating.

I'm eager to see how Jaime Garcia pitches. I used to be a fan and I was excited when the Jays added him, even if he isn't the pitcher he used to be. The fanboy in me is cheering for a comeback (for a given value of comeback, as he was never exactly Cy Young caliber). I'll try to temper my expectations and hope for a sub-4 ERA and WHIP under 1.35. Anything more than that would be gravy.

If Garcia can keep his BB/9 in the low-mid 3s instead of the 4s, he should be serviceable. His Yankee numbers weren't encouraging though.

Time for the first sweep of the season.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Should be able to win 2 of the 3, I think we lose the series opener though, we've had trouble against Gonzalez in the past and I don't trust Jaime Garcia

Fulmer and especially Shields should be easy pickings though

Looks like Garcia had a little bit more trouble against right handed batters last season compared to his career normals. Fangraphs shows Garcia throwing a slider last year over a cutter all seasons prior to 2017, as well as fastball, curve ball, change up. The White Sox are all right handed batters tonight, 3 of them switch hitters.

Nice sequence against Castillo. I thought he was fried early on but he recovered nicely. Feels like a lot of pitches in just two innings though.

It’s pretty bad when you still can’t get it right after a review.
