April 27-29 Low Rangers @ Post-red recovery Blues
So the Rangers and their suckitude are in town, minus Adrian Beltre to boot
Can the Blue Jays get out the broom here and keep pace with the AL East powerhouses?
Friday, April 27, 7:07 (I refuse to name the network because it put the Raptors on SN1 tonight)
Mike Minor (1-1 3.86 ERA) vs Marcus Stroman (0-2, 8.55 ERA)
Saturday, April 28, 4:07
Bartolo Colon (0-0, 2.59 ERA) vs Jaime Garcia (2-1, 4.57 ERA)
Sunday, April 29, 1:07
Martin Perez (2-2, 9.82 ERA) vs Jay Happ (3-1, 3.72 ERA)

Oh man, Bartolo is throwing tomorrow? I feel like I need to go to the game. Too bad ticket prices are insane. $76 for Field Level Outfield!! Gonna be a lot of empty seats this year.

pricing out the fan base, gotta love it! TV numbers will be huge throughout the season if they continue to be in the hunt for the WC

I mean, definitely get tickets. At most, we all have a mere 7-8 years to witness the glory of Bartolo Colon.
On that subject: a while back, I tried to figure out if Colon had any shot to face three generations of the same family. Best I could come up with is that Prince Fielder has a son who is 14 or 15, so Bartolo will likely need to pitch 'til age 51 to have much of a chance.

**** your asterisk.

If Stroman and Estrada pitch like this all year, it's going to be a long season.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

so stroman is garbage now. legit scrub status. guy is having a ricky romero-esque downswing.

Just as well to air some grievances since we lost (again).
This team sorely needs a long man in the bullpen. Was anyone shocked to see Stroman crap the bed in the 6th?
I'm also tired of Morales. He's a waste of a roster spot and may actually be worse with glasses than without. With our current surplus of outfielders (including the kids in the minors who can never seem to get a shot), and Donaldson coming back soon, it would be the perfect opportunity to drop this guy and adopt a rotating DH strategy to get people extra rest and playing time.
The most exciting part about this team thus far has been the energy of our young players. It's painful to see better players on the bench (or in the minors) while this guy is flailing away at sliders 2 feet from the plate.

I would have a lot of respect for management if they just admitted their mistake and cut Morales.
I really wonder if Stroman shoulder is bothering him. He strikes me as someone stubborn enough to hide an injury from staff.

Sadly, I only got the front done. Too expensive to get a new one made for every game.
