I'll change the title if this pans out as true. Obviously would be a big blow to the Mariners.

umm.. Furosemide is a water pill used for blood pressure control. It’s not a PED, an addictive substance, a narcotic, or anything. It just makes you pee more, lowers the fluids in your body and puts you at lower risk of a heart attack.
Millions of Canadians are on this and it’s a common prescription
Why is it banned?
Perhaps obviously, furosemide can be used as a masking agent, helping the body rid itself of evidence of doping through urination. Hence why it, among other diuretics, is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

You know which players are taking PEDs. The ones that look like they’re taking it. You can’t be jacked like that playing every day and eating out of hotels. There’s too much money involved in sports for players not to do it. If you know that taking PEDs will get you a massive contract eventually, it’s pretty hard to resist.
