FYI, tonight's game is MLB.TV's free game of the day. Watch Cy Gaviglio blank the Rays on a computing device of your choosing.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Has been doing that for years unfortunately. Rather annoying to be honest but i suppose that's why he's doing it. He picks a random player every game he attends to heckle. If anyone did that at Rogers centre they'd get kicked out.

I wasn't aware that he heckled a random player every game. Thanks BLC. We should get one of our fans to heckle a Tampa Bay player when they come to Toronto. Only fair!

The power is impressive. Legit 30 homer, 40 double bat right now. Would love to see him walk a bit more like when he first came up this year and get that OBP up into the .330 range.

Who knew heading into the season that some guy named Gaviglio would be our ace.

Travis should have had that, but you can't blame him for not diving. If he dove, he may have broken into 20 different pieces.

He's pretty similar to Pillar at the plate but with more power, both don't get on base much.

And according to Baseball Savant, his wOBA, avg, and slg, should all be a fair bit higher than they are. His xSLG is close to 100 points higher than his actual slg%.

yup pretty much. if we need 90 wins to have a chance at that second wild card we'll need to win 60 of our remaining games this season. it's just not possible.

hoping our aging players start to play better so their trade value increases and we can get something nice in return. i would like to keep Solarte however. i like him in the 2nd slot in the batting lineup. has power and can get on base. plays above average defense as well. voted by MLB pitchers as the hardest Jay this season to get out.

We are without our best hitter, starter, and reliever. Even when the hitter and starter were on the field, they were clearly hurt and played awful. The Jays had no shot without those three.

So yes, we are out of it.
