Am surprised the Yankees would play infield in a tie game 2nd inning.

So did the decision to bring the infield in cost the Yankees four runs?

Gave us a chance for a big half inning. We we're at the bottom of our order, a leadoff double by Grichuk then a fielders choice by Diaz, we we're going for a single run that inning, but the Yankees allowed it to be more than that and let us go through the top of our batting order again.

When infield is in it increases the chances of line drives and ground balls getting through, and that's what type of hitter Travis is, he hit's more grounders than popups. So in a sac fly situation he didn't feel the need to hit one as much anymore. If infield was back Travis was out , it's likely 1-0, or 1-1 thanks to Hicks.

Yeah, that would have been an out, but instead it was an extra base runner that scored. Then, there were two out when Smoak hit the three run home run. So the inning would have been over.

Yankees have the best wrc+ vs lefties, best woba and best .ISO, almost .50 points higher than the Braves.

Boy, happy stunk. As soon as her became prime trade bait, he's been shaky. Every one who we'd like to trade is injured, or self-immolating.
