I don't think they're hoping to get Solarte at all. They may offer him arbitration if they think it'll be a bargain, but even then, the idea would almost certainly be to trade him.

Arbitration will get him more money than the option. There is no reason to bring him back.

Think there's a non-tender in his future. We don't need another bad 2B/3B, and he isn't going to be a hot trade commodity.

Thank goodness. I hope they non-tender. I don't want to see this guy dogging it to first base in a Jays uniform ever again.
