There is no questioning the commitment of these two teams to shortening the length of the average baseball game.

Three games in and I'm already sick of Pillar.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:

Can’t be too often a team goes the first 3 games of the season without scoring a run in innings 1-9

The 2016 Padres managed it. The 2016 Padres are, as it turns out, the answer to every question on offensive futility.

Bases loaded. 1 out. Chance to put this game away. Only took 3 pitches to put him away. Yup Pillar you suck! Feel for Alford. He deserves to be on this team, not Pillar. Hopefully he's traded early on so we can all move on.

Good win by the Blue Jays today. Let's go for win number 3 tomorrow! (Hopefully without Pillar in the lineup.)

We owe a big thanks to MLB. Now later in the season we can all look back fondly at our winning record to start the year.

You mean our best young player, 30 year old Kevin Pillar?

There was a lot of luck in that ERA title, actually.

This is a car crash of a rebuild with no meaningful prospects other than vlad and bo and not much else.

Is this ****posting or just trolling?

Either way, you're very good at it, and I appreciate the rise you get out of the more credulous posters :)

Not too concerned about Pillar's swing. He's a good young player. I'm sure he'll make adjustments.

Bo, who was brought in by the current regime. And yeah, if you throw out the top two prospects in most organizations, their farm system would be much worse. Though ours would actually be more below-average than trash even without them; Jansen, Pearson, Groshans and Pardinho are rather well-regarded, and the system is deep.

Should it be better? Yeah, it should be up there with the Padres, because we should have traded all the damned things over a year ago.

Look, I am not pinning my hopes on a kid playing double A ball.

The reality is even the players we have now, there is nothing to be excited about other than vlaady. That hides the fact that the current team looks to be awful, as they were last year and before that. It’s hard to get excited about any prospects when the current regime can’t even put anyone exciting on the field today.

Shapiro doesn’t care about defense. Everyone knows Francisco Linder and Jose Ramirez are terrible defenders.

Shapiro’s teams should play more zone to hide their terrible defenders.

Why is anybody still trying to have a reasonable discussion with the person that decribed Pillar as the only good young player the Jays have?
