Donaldson would be the worst shortstop in the league by some large measure. He doesn't even remotely have the range for it. If he could play shortstop, someone over the past 12 years of his professional career would have used him as a shortstop, because that would be more valuable. They haven't done it, because he isn't one.

Also, your BEAST lineup would still leave us as a very, very bad team. And a very, very bad team that'd have to figure out whether it wants to pay an old Josh Donaldson a lot of money to pretend to be a shortstop, and an old Edwin Encarnacion to be DH.

...which, as it turns out, is something we could do this offseason, as they're both free agents. We shouldn't, but there's nothing preventing us from assembling your dream lineup, only with a whole bunch of minor league talent including Pearson that we really need for the future.

The only two pitchers the Mets have is Kay and Woods. Kay is gonna be a MLB pitcher this year, Woods is 18 and far away.

Btw, not one Mets pitching prospect is in the top 100. :banghead:

Better be more than pitching prospects coming back...

There should be a full on fire sale; Sanchez, Smoak, Grichuk, Giles, Hernandez, Galvis. Pretty much anyone not name Guerrero, Biggio or Gurriel should be traded.

Ross Atkins, and Mark Shapiro. I'd say they're likely to be worth a AA pitcher with an ERA of 7 and an 18 year old who can distinguish a ball from a bat.
