I love that there isn't a single post in this game thread. Why was anyone even at this game? God the blue jays are putrid

Next time I see any blue jays should be Monday night at Scotiabank.

In a way early MLB view of Biggio, he's hitting the ball hard with %38 medium and %57 hard contact(soft contact of only %5), while showing an abilty to be patient and get on base. Line Drive rate %24 is also pretty nice and the best stat i think, chasing only %9-11 of pitches outside the zone, he hasn't been sheltered against lefties either.

An o-swing% like that is better than Bautista's was or Russell Martin , both big on base guys as well perhaps that goes down but impressive to have that going through your first mlb at bats.

Biggio has been about as impressive as a guy with a .176 average can be. He will be a solid hitter in the majors; I don't have too much doubt there. Just a question of whether he's good enough if he has to move off 2B.

Percentage signs go after the numbers, not before then. I know I’m being anal, just a heads up.

What if I'm Turkish, Persian or Hebrew.

Is there any comps for him out there, he was batting .198 or something before today.

I am a Jewish Persian Turk and we still put the percentage sign after the numbers.

Lol this is so dumb but you went there. Technically percentage symbol shouldn't even be used in conversation but we're talking baseball here and everyone knows what is meant, if we're going after the most anal comment WWE championship and ignoring games now...

FWIW alot of places use it before the number, unless wiki is off.

Just wait 'til you have to deal with customers in far-flung places. It's easy enough to remember that people in Quebec, or in some parts of continental Europe, stick the currency symbol after the number. It's another matter when you have to remember that many people in places that deal extensively with places that also put the currency symbol after the number do likewise. Thus, if you're dealing with Australia it's $XXXX, unless you're dealing with someone who deals with SE Asia/Europe, in which case it's XXXX$ and oh god it's time for a new occupation.

Tomato vs Tamato. Biggio's O-Swing was roughly 47/500 before today. There , no symbols needed.

An eight run inning. Well, I guess our first overall pick in 2020 better be a pitcher. At least it own't be a difficult task forgetting Jackson and Richard ever were 2019 Jays

July 2019 ticket promotion:

"Buy a ticket for a random chance to pitch an inning."

Well, think we're going to have a top five pick in a draft with a handful of really well-regarded college pitchers. With Pearson, Manoah and probably another in 2020, we could have something resembling a major league rotation by...the start of 2022, maybe.

Jansen's numbers on the year are terrifying, but his expected wOBA is not far off league-average. Likely explains why he's still in the majors; they don't feel that he needs any great overhaul, though hitting the ball in the air more often would be nice.

They should use the SkyDome to play Raptor playoffs games, would be more useful and entertaining.
