Thorton got rocked again tonight. Wonder what's wrong with him.

The offense has picked it up but our pitching is putrid. We get a half decent performance from our pitching staff from both starters and the bullpen and we might be playing .500 ball by now.

I hope we get swept and pick up lost ground on the other bottom feeders racing for position in next year's draft

Waguespack doesn't belong in a major league rotation right now, but hey, it's the 2019 Blue Jays!

I continue to be really impressed by Biggio - even more than Vlad. Biggio does have 4 years on Vlad, mind you, and you have to expect Vlad to start mashing on a regular basis.

Waguespack is so garbage. Can't Shatkins find someone decent to pitch for this team? FFS!

Going to miss Galvis when he gets traded. My favorite Blue Jay. Having a great season so far!

Phelps missed all of last season and hasn't pitched more than two innings this year, at least at the MLB level. I would imagine he was strictly an opener tonight like Tampa has been doing, originally Reid-Foley was slotted to start today but he pitched last night, which changed to Waguespack then Phelps, and apparently a very late roster move before the game.

Also, apparently Stroman will be pushed back from his start tomorrow as well, maybe could use Phelps for an inning tomorrow but we're short on starters capable of going 6-7 innings with Stroman out, Sanchez having his worst stretch of his career and Thornton struggling to find the strike zone. Gonna be like this for awhile but the hitting has been great lately.

Thought it was interesting how we bat Biggio 6th last night against Price but 4th tonight against Sale. Am starting to think no reason to flip him.

Yup. Just doesnt make sense. Biggio is more than capable of hitting lefties, and i would argue he's the best left handed bat we have against lefties. I hate when managers shift players around especially when a team is hitting well. Stay consistent!

I’m encouraged by Gurriel and Biggio, and now Jansen. These guys are looking like they can be core pieces around Vladdy and Bo.

Through the last 30 days, we have four players in the top 60 wRC+. Gurriel 6, Sogard 15, Galvis 49, Biggio 55.

Guys i'm loving Daniel Hudson. Hope he stays but if we do trade him i hope we get a nice piece back. He had a nasty slider last night and has looked great so far.

Yeah the young bats are definitely showing signs of life. I'm impressed the team has been so patient with Jansen and his struggles at the plate. They've had a quicker hook than I'd like for some guys in the past.

Think Jansen speaks to the degree to which we've embraced stuff beyond the boxscore stats. He had the most pronounced xwOBA - wOBA split imaginable...he was hitting the ball hard enough, and his K - BB split was decent enough, that he shouldn't have had numbers anywhere near as bad as he did. So they let him play through it because there was every indication that his results would catch up in time.

And with his defense, he could be a monster. He's on pace for more than 2 fWAR/650 as it stands; if his xwOBA proves out and he can be a league-average hitter, he's one of the better catchers in baseball.

Derek Law is such a stud...

Like Jack Armstrong would say "Get that garbage out of here!"
