I was just curious if anyone knew why mangers can get someone to review a play, before electing to challenge the umpires decision.


The Manager should ask the players involved, or the base coaches for their input, since they are the closest to the play.

Because players/base coaches have an imperfect view, whereas the guys in the clubhouse usually have the tape. And the tape is much more telling.
