I know this is not a Blue Jays rumour, but trust me it’s worth a read for any Blue Jays fan. If true, it is HUGE.
Cardinals offer for Nolan Arenado:
- Matthew Liberatore, Dakot Hudson, Carlos Martinez and Tyler O’Neil.
Your Opinion?

Too much for a guy with those kind of home/road splits.

If you are willing to take on Arenados contract. Might as well sign Donaldson. Get to keep you prospects, get a similar player and less term.
And he has an opt out in 2 years, you might be trading all that for 2 years.

Arenado is a damn stud!! One of the best hitters in the league..I think that's a fair offer. I'd offer Groshans, Kloffenstein or Monoah plus for him..

Doesn't Vladdy play 3rd base?

Some of us have insisted on Vlad at 1st from the beginning. He's blocking Groshans and Hiraldo as it is.... I'd settle for Shaw at 3rd, Vlad at 1st, and preserve your 2nd baseman (who doesn't exactly hit like an outfielder anyway). Then, keep your powder dry for re-signs, and for adding when things are actually ripe.

Agreed. For the Cardinals to give up that asset package for Arenado, while Donaldson could be had for nothing but say a 2-3 year deal, is short sighted.

Arenado = Tulo outside of Coors. Just say no.

Seriously. Just like so many Rockie star hitters, he’s just Joe Average away from Corrs Field.
