We're 0.5 back of the division lead with only 60 games to go...this is a position that few of us expected we'd be in back in January.

And the final series thread from 2019 has finally been unstickied, a mere 10 months after it was posted.

The Rays supershift with two strikes owes to the fact that i) it's really hard to hit a breaking ball the other way, and ii) by creating a setup that vastly favours the breaking ball, it makes it even harder to catch a high fastball.

If they pull that crap again, I rather Biggio gamble and bunt with 2 strikes.

They'll keep disrespecting if you don't adjust.

And so it begins...

I peg us as a .500 team, but in a 60-game season there's a chance we get hot and actually make the playoffs. Should be fun. Hopefully we get the full 60 games in.

Good to have baseball to watch again.

“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

They'd probably sacrifice all manner of things to Beelzebub in order to get Biggio to bunt with two strikes. The risk/reward favours them so strongly; in all but rare circumstances you aren't getting more than a single, and it's even harder to bunt a breaking ball oppo than it is to hit one.

Only one game but, based off the two exhibition games, I'm liking what i'm seeing from Fisher.

Derek Fisher is literally the totality of our offense to date this year.

Ryu's arm might fall off tomorrow, but until then I'm going to really enjoy him throwing 50 change-ups a night.

Vladdy looks like he actually gained weight... not to mention the extra 50 pounds of neckwear he seems to be wearing.

All Grichuk needed was to bring back the 2003 box goatee, apparently.

Sound fundamental offensive baseball, exactly what we expected from the big beefy sons.

We have 3 runs in 4 innings without an XBH. Baseball is weird, man.

Anyone else think Ryu doesn't pitch anything like Mark Buehrle?

He doesn't remotely pitch like Buehrle. One was a pitch-to-contact sort, the other is an strikeout artist.
